REASONING
Definition: The process of thinking and understanding in order to form conclusions or judgments on a topic based on logic or evidence
Why is it important?
Reasoning is the foundation to critical thinking. We spend time thinking and trying to understand different topics every day in order to make decisions and determine what is important to us. Every day in class, college students have to draw conclusions on information that we receive during that period. Obviously we can't take it all in at once and understand it right way. Therefore, we must use our critical thinking skills, reasoning in particular, to get a better grasp on the topic.
The process of reasoning allows one to gather all thoughts and information before taking the next step in the critical thinking process!

Types of Reasoning:Obviously it is not possible to solve every problem the exact same way. Because of this, there are different approaches to the way to reason. Including:
1. Moral Reasoning: Using personal morals to come to a conclusion or judgement
2. Inductive Reasoning: Taking specific information and making general conclusions.
3. Deductive Reasoning: Taking general information and making specific conclusions
No matter what type of reasoning is used, the outcome will still be conclusions on a certain topic!
